Aerodynamic Performance Optimization of Centrifugal Fan Blade for Air System of Self-Propelled Cotton-Picking Machine

To enhance the working efficiency and aerodynamic performance of centrifugal fan in air system a cotton picker, new type blade was designed by extracting mid-arc section from prototype integrating an airfoil, which transplanted coupled to section. The design aimed improve airflow characteristics fan. By combining experimental data fans used existing cotton-picker systems employing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods, internal flow field structure simulated. This study focused on investigating its impact improving patterns within results visualization analysis indicate that exhibits excellent performance, distribution It enhances uniformity outlet airflow, reduces occurrence localized “jet-wake” phenomena at impeller’s outlet, suppresses generation development vortices channel, local energy losses impeller. These improvements contribute increase fan’s efficiency. Under rated operating conditions, measured 60.3%, while optimized achieved 64.8%. signifies significant improvement
